The Light Has Come

Tracing the Light

During this Advent season and through Epiphany we are going to be tracing the theme of light and darkness in God’s Holy Word. From the first verses of Genesis to the end of Revelation, we will see and hear God speak about light—the Light. On this first Sunday of Advent, we will look at the origin of light and His power to overcome darkness—all darkness. We will explore the power and presence of the Light promised to God’s people, gaining radiant hope as we live in a world filled with darkness. We look forward to this Advent season as we follow the Light into the fullness of hope.

Invite friends and family to worship in-person with us on Sunday at 8:00 (Chapel), 9:30 or 11:00 a.m. or online at pcpc.org/live/, the PCPC App with an iOS or Android device, Facebook, or YouTube.

Dallas Marathon Impacts Traffic

Leave for church a little earlier on Sunday, December 15. The 2024 Dallas Marathon route will be blocked off, so vehicular traffic will be re-routed. Please plan accordingly before heading to church on Sunday. Lakeside, Turtle Creek, Armstrong, Fitzhugh, and Wycliff will be closed to traffic. We have linked to a map below to help navigate around the marathon route. Please use Mockingbird, Preston, and Oak Lawn.

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

As stewards who are to be held accountable, we must prayerfully seek to exercise our stewardship in a manner that is consistent with and obedient to God’s Word. Each week, we are going to share from our Principles of Stewardship.

Principle 10: When we share with the poor, we are sharing with Jesus Himself.
